LES COMBAS DE LAMBERT (Collection Lambert - 5 rue Violette 84000 AVIGNON)
This winter and spring 2017, the Collection Lambert is celebrating one of its flagship artists, a major figure on the international art scene since the 1980s.
Robert COMBAS
More than 250 works will be on show at the Hôtel de Caumont (Aix-en-Provence art centre) and the Hôtel de Montfaucon, recalling the pioneering role of Robert Combas, who, at the same time as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Francesco Clemente, Julian Schnabel, Miquel Barcelo and other great names, showed that painting was not dead but more alive than ever – a view i-CAC wholeheartedly shares.
