Le Murmure des Etoiles (The Whisper of the Stars)

The latest book illustrated by Séverine PINEAUX (texts and poems by Céline Guillaume)

A painter living in the forest of Brocéliande, Séverine Pineaux draws fantastical worlds steeped in legends and fairy tales. In watercolour or oil, with a classical, figurative technique, she paints poetic visions in which nature is ever-present. The themes of tree-people and fabulous animals run throughout her work. In 2011 she published “Gothic Faërie”, blending steampunk elements with an enchanted plant world. Her work on “Chats enchantés” (Enchanted Cats) brings a touch of gentle humour to this universe. Winner of many prizes, Séverine features in the American directory of fantasy artists Spectrum nos. 13, 16 and 19, as well as in the Danish art book of fantasy painting Imaginaire IIIX and IX. The author of “Ysambre”, “Gothic Faërie” and several other books, she exhibits regularly in France and abroad. Several of her works are part of the permanent exhibition of the Naïa Museum and of the Fantasmus collection in Denmark.
