Biography in French.
Il est captivé par les mouvements de la mer, son mystère, sa douce violence et ses jeux de reflets qui le fascinent. Il joue alors avec la matière, les épaisseurs de couleurs qu'il pose au couteau. Là encore couleur, matière, lumière sont ses maîtres mots. Les variations atmosphériques lui offrent un jeu furtif incroyablement fascinant de variations lumineuses qu'il ne se lasse pas de reproduire. L'année 2008 est propice au changement de technique : méthode par glacis et modification de la signature (deux R en opposition).
Adepte du pionnier de l'impressionnisme Monet, il ne peint que ses impressions. Ses tableaux traduisent ainsi l'émotion du peintre plus que la réalité observée et son désir de fixer sur la toile l'émotion éphémère qu'a provoquée en lui un spectacle fugitif et saisissant.
Il matérialise sur ses toiles, à la manière des impressionnistes, les sensations visuelles transmises par un paysage et qu'il retransmet à son tour en jouant avec la matière, la lumière, la couleur ; ses trois maîtres mots.
