The artist remains in control of adjusting and setting prices.
Consulting the gallery owner or the auctioneer is also recommended to fine-tune the rating according to the market.
Please note: this “by format” price rating is a generic approach; it cannot be regarded as a mathematical absolute, only as an indication.
For small formats, some painters spend almost as much time as on a medium or large format — hyperrealist painters, for example.
The artist then adjusts this price rating and can issue a “price rating statement” (document available in “
My documents”).
